Do you love to travel? The Groupon’s “Getaways” team is all about getting people on vacation with their friends and family. Our team enjoys getting out and helping others do the same!

We’re not your typical online travel platform. Out with the old ways of features that serve as price comparisons. We’re in the business of featuring the hotels for everything they are—opportunities for our subscribers to make life less boring. People love us for showing them getaway opportunities they might not have considered or found elsewhere.

As part of this effort we have several projects underway to significantly improve and enhance our travel related offering and we are looking for SDE’s at all levels to build out our team in Seattle.

We’re looking for people who are interested in growing as developers and as people to join our small team of software engineers. We believe building solid software ultimately improves the experience for our customers. We also believe the best software is built by team willing to work together and learn from each other, regardless of experience level. We believe everyone has something to teach.

Requirements

• Care about the people you work with. Able to provide and receive feedback about performance. Our team cares about improving our teammates and ourselves - you should too.

• Pragmatic about working with your team to find multiple potential solutions to problems.

• 2 years experience in designing or implementing front end systems OR 4 years experience building backend/distributed/scalable systems and a strong interest in learning more about front-end.

• Proficient in at least one common front-end language (javascript, coffeescript, etc)

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience and a commitment to continual learning
