Upbound is cloud-native computing startup that enables organizations to run, scale and optimize their services across multiple public and private cloud environments. Our growing team is on a mission to free cloud-computing from the grip of a few cloud vendors.

This is an opportunity to join a startup at the ground level and build an amazing product experience for our customers. You will be part of an engineering team that is delivering a end-to-end experience for running services across public and private cloud environments.

Upbound is venture funded and backed by GV (formerly Google Ventures). We are headquartered in Seattle.

In this role, you can expect to be:

• Designing, implementing, and testing UX features.
• Working closely with product design and management to conceptualize and implement rich product experiences.
• Balancing tradeoffs in user experience to improve performance.
• Coding primarily in modern languages and frameworks like React, Angular or other JavaScript libraries, and standards-compliant HTML, CSS3

You are a good fit if:

• You are able to drive complex features from design to high-quality code.
• You have a good understanding of how to implement and maintain consistency across features.
• You are able to balance trade-offs in both design and implementation.
• You have a high bar for quality and take pride in what you and your team create.
• You are effective in working independently.
• You are effective at communicating and socializing your ideas.

Would be excellent if:

• You have a portfolio of end user facing experiences that shows your passion for building compelling web applications and UI in a professional environment.
• You have experience integrating and tracking analytics tags and A/B testing.
• You have experience developing experiences using D3.js or other charting framework.
• You’re an active speaker, blogger, and member of open source communities.
• You have worked in a startup before.
