Gemma seeks an entrepreneurial developer who will be the first technical hire and report directly to the CEO and founder. You’ll have the opportunity to work under the guidance of Senior Engineers at Pioneer Square Labs Studios while Gemma’s own technical team is built around you.

Description

Our ideal customer-centric candidate will have an established background in developing technical products by showcasing previous or current experience in eCommerce/Web Services development platforms. You will own the customer-facing online storefront on Shopify and be able to work independently. You’ll add value to the process to understand the needs of the business and translate them into best-of-class technology solutions to meet the needs of our customers.

As a frontend developer on the Gemma team you'll…

• Maintain and enhance custom Shopify Site and React components
• Work with business, development, design, and fulfillment teams to understand and influence product vision and requirements
• Code and configure custom checkout process
• Maintain client-side build scripts and write tests for continuous integration system
  

This job might be for you if you have…

• 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Problem solving aptitude
• Experience with devops including AWS, test frameworks, and source code management
• Shopify or eCommerce platform experience is a plus
• 2+ years React experience
