This role allows you to work from anywhere you choose across the U.S. (excluding U.S. territories), with the flexibility to work from the Seattle HQ office as often as you’d like. 98point6 employees planning to work in the office will be required to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination. Please note that no matter where you are located, all employees should be available during our core working hours from 10 am to 4 pm PT Monday through Friday.

Your role and impact

As a Full Stack Software Engineer II at 98point6, you'll have the opportunity to build internal applications and tooling to improve our commercial, clinical and to support staff’s efficiency. You will align with highly collaborative internal and external teams who are motivated and passionate about our mission. While partnering with Engineers across disciplines, including frontend, mobile, quality assurance, systems, data engineering and data science, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to define and perform integrations for our partner and patient data.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to build web apps to help our clinic provide quality, affordable care to patients
  • Create high-performance, highly-available and scalable systems
  • Help to define our web app architecture and the back-end systems that support the apps
  • Participate in code and design reviews, ensuring the quality of both deliverables
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple teams to prioritize and ensure we make positive tradeoffs in how we deliver features
  • Manage a production application that patients, doctors and clinical staff rely on
  • Partner with internal and external teams on system integrations
  • Mentor other Engineers
  • Participate in 24/7 on call responsibilities on a rotational basis

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience designing and coding back-end services using Java, C++, C#, Ruby, Python, Node.js or TypeScript for production commercial services that operate on the public internet
  • 1+ years of experience designing and coding browser-based applications using Javascript or TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and at least 1 Javascript application framework
  • 1 + year working experience in serverless (AWS Lambda) and prior use of additional AWS services and tools, including Cognito, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS and CDK
  • A high level of ownership, flexibility and self-direction
  • Ability to think big and help innovate in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior experience integrating with common healthcare systems and standards
  • Familiarity with HL7 and FHIR
  • Experience with mobile development, Kotlin Multiplatform or Swift

The salary range for incoming hires for this position is $113,100-$162,300. At 98point6, compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors, including a candidate’s experience and scope of responsibility.
