Manager, Software Engineering

We are looking for Software Engineering Managers to join Snap Inc! In this role, you will be leading the strategy, direction and execution for multiple critical areas for Snapchat Infrastructure - including Storage, Core Services (like our Friend Graph) and Caching technologies that are used by almost every engineering team at Snapchat. Working from our Seattle office, you will be leading multiple teams of senior engineers to solve challenging Infrastructure problems that affect almost every part of Snapchat customer experience.
What you'll do:
- Drive the technical and organizational roadmap for the engineering team
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams distributed across multiple locations
- Build and grow a team of exceptional software engineers and technical leaders
- Influence key decisions on architecture and implementation of scalable, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions
- Iterate quickly without compromising quality and raise the bar on operational excellence
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years of experience managing a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Someone who loves to learn, and is passionate about helping others
- Experience with mobile apps and/or databases
- MS degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience working with distributed systems
