We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager that has a strong desire to mentor, coach and influence a high performing team of engineers dedicated engineers. As our Engineering Manager, you will flourish in an atmosphere that delivers high quality and extraordinary results in a fast-paced agile environment. You will also possess a strong collaborative spirit to deliver and influence exceptional operational design of highly reliable and scalable systems with our partners. What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of DevOps Engineers working on developing and supporting several key services and technologies.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing SRE team.
  • Cultivate a culture that supports innovation and creativity while delivering high output in a predictable and reliable way.
  • Help define DevOps standards around continuous integration and continuous delivery practices along with tool chains – code scans, code signing, secrets management, testing frameworks, infra and code deploys etc.
  • Ensure alignment with development teams, project and release managers on coordination of cross organizational service operations practices, establishing and ensuring standard monitoring of appropriate metrics and measurement requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership for cloud infrastructure and service level deployments.
  • Support product engineering teams on SRE related activities. Establish meaningful SLAs for all pre-defined activities.
  • Assist with the Incident/Issues lifecycle by working directly with engineering teams to ensure accurate prioritization and remediation of high impact fixes. Establish and keep teams accountable to agreed upon error budgets.
  • Provide architectural oversight for the SRE tools and platform.
  • Define documentation standards for SRE artifacts that are published for engineering team consumption.
  • Collaborate and work closely with the Security teams to define and implement security compliance controls, auditing, and privacy initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively and present team progress to leadership.
  • Conduct readiness reviews prior to moving changes / deployments into higher environments.
  • Continually evaluate and adopt the latest industry technologies to optimize costs and streamline processes.
  • Keep the team challenged and motivated to deliver high-quality, high-value, timely results.

 

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding or systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Five or more years leading technical engineering teams.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience operating highly reliable, large scale, mission-critical systems.
  • Ability to understand and communicate high level technical solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work across and influence teams and individuals.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, communication skills.
