We're looking for an outstanding Manufacturing Engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. We’re looking for people who innovate and love solving hard problems! You will work hard, have fun, and of course, make history!

Responsibilities

· Develop and manage assembly plans for multiple product configurations
· Establish standard work for process, drawings, feedback mechanism, and metrics
· Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high quality, cost effective products in short periods of time
· Continuously assess process capabilities and innovate to simplify processes, reduce cost, and shorten cycle time

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years experience with manufacturing & assembly engineering of complex products including various commodities (composite, metal, 3d print, harnesses, electronics)
· Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Manufacturing and Systems Engineering or related field
· Experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation
· Experience conceptualizing, designing, assembling and debugging tools and fixtures
· Demonstrated experience with MS Office & CAD software

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Manufacturing & System Engineering
· Proficiency with Dassault 3DExperience (Catia, Delmia, Enovia)
· Experience designing & optimizing manufacturing systems that have been successfully deployed at scale
· Experience with manufacturing in regulated environments
· Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to present and explain design, defect data, metrics, supplier quality, improvement initiatives and status to top leadership and/ or government officials
