Job Duties: Support the Chief Technology Officer and senior leadership as a trusted technical advisor and provide architectural guidance and oversight to all software product teams. Design, architect, and develop critical next generation projects, from ideation to minimum viable product. Build proof of concepts to validate new features and/or product ideas and work closely with integration partners, technology providers, or internal teams. Hand over the projects to an assigned development team and provide assistance during the development cycle. Work closely with product teams and development leaders as required, to solve technical hurdles and provide low level technical design assistance. Proactively identify technical problems and recommend course of action to affected teams. Work with technical evangelists and marketing departments building new integration scenarios and customer demos. Drive technical due diligence as part of company M&A activities. Track emerging technologies and their benefit to the development process/product feature sets. As part of patent committee, assess the validity of new IP and patent ideas and provide guidance throughout the patent application process. Actively look for new patentable design features and products ideas. Ensure consistency across products, determine technical standards, and deliver guidance to enhance the productivity of the development teams. Determine cross product integration points and advise on API design. Design and improve task orchestration, workflow, and process automation features. Improve the reliability and performance of existing workflow engines and/or design improved new versions to be integrated into existing products.

Requirements:

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering or related field followed by ten (10) years of progressive experience in the job offered or related role.

Skills:  Experience and/or education must include:

1. Multinational management experience, including working across multiple time zones and geographic locations, with specific experience in software development teams in the delivery of cloud-based platforms
2. Development with C#, .Net Standard, .Net Core, Node, Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, Cosmos DB, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Event Hubs, Azure storage, Amazon S3
3. Development patterns, frameworks, UI patterns, and open source solutions to understand strengths and weaknesses of each in order to drive technical due diligence and technology selection
4. Workflow and activity orchestration, understanding user experience on automated processes including design, management, debugging, versioning, and tracking, and building workflow-based applications and event sourcing pattern
5. Track record of documenting, submitting, and obtaining software patents
6. Designing solutions that integrate with APIs provided by leading cloud platforms including Office365, Dynamics 365, OneDrive, Salesforce, Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, Facebook, Twitter, Twilio, Slack, AdobeSign, Docusign, Zendesk, and Marketo
7. Designing solutions to manage hybrid cloud and on-premise deployments, and gateway tunnels between different network environments
