Are you interested in joining a team of platform architectures to define the platform architecture and work with both horizontal and vertical teams to deliver the world's travel platform?
The Platform Architecture Team provides strategic guidance and defines patterns for technical and business architecture to enable faster, platform-oriented decision making. Equally, it serves all divisions across Expedia Group by defining boundaries and integration points of architecture, defining patterns for the design, developing and deploying of technical assets, and providing strategic guidance on business and technical architecture. This is all done in order to create Expedia Group wide capabilities, increase leverage across assets, scale innovation, and reduce duplication while increasing consistency with the long term goal of creating the world's most effective travel platform.
What you'll do:
Work with platform teams (infrastructure, data, AI, etc) to build a cohesive technology platform
Work with product delivery teams to snap to the Expedia Group Platform vision, leveraging the technology platform
Work across multiple dimensions of the organization to maximize platform impact of Expedia Group capabilities
Evangelize the platform architecture vision within other organizations of Expedia Group
Provide architectural guidance in the form of presentations, documentation or working code
Help define standards and guidelines core to the Expedia Group Platform vision
Who you are:
- Large scale distributed systems design
- Fluent in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Kotlin, Scala, Go, Rust, Javascript/Typescript, C++
- Public speaking
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and span multiple disciplines
- Ability to influence and drive change at a large scale
