Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Front End Engineer to set the technical direction of our ESG-inclusive products and platform, and to produce detailed technical work on high-level architectural designs, as well as identify strategic growth opportunities. The Principal Front End Engineer will set the direction for the front-end framework across the organization, future-proofing our front-end stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, support, and improve existing applications and systems.
• Design solutions to address functionality, usability, maintainability, scalability, and optimized performance.
• Transform complex business requirements into functional software with a UX focus.
• Create front-end code that simplifies testing automation.
• Help foster strong team culture and cultivate innovation.
• Evaluate different architectures and design principles and articulate your decisions in a logical, pragmatic manner.
• Write meaningful technical tests and understand the value of great logging, proper monitoring, and error tracking.
• Work cross-departmentally to improve software quality, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with other team members, teams, software engineers, product managers, delivery managers, and other stakeholders across the organization.

Skills and Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience building production-grade systems using modern frontend tooling and libraries
• 6+ years of technical leadership experience, including relevant experience across the landscape of browsers, languages, and frameworks
• Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale, high-quality systems and software products
• Product development experience, working across all stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in communicating technical requirements and goals while fostering creativity, empathy for others, and the willingness to be a strong teammate
• Extensive React experience
