Responsibilities Include

  • You should have an affinity for, and the ability to, influence and mentor more junior developers in an effort to continuously improve the tools, skills, and processes of the team
  • Contribute to the architecture of projects relating to a company’s business structure and job assignment 
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the delivery and quality of code your team produces
  • Work under minimal supervision and act independently, requiring a high level of judgment and interpretation to determine the best methods and procedures to make progress
  • Work as part of the technical team that designs, develops, implements, and maintains scalable cloud-based products 
  • Work closely with other developers to ensure successful implementation of applications 
  • Convert specifications and requirements into functional application code 
  • Understand and adhere to industry best practices for delivering high-quality code 
  • Break down projects into tasks with time estimation 
  • Proactively identify and communicate issues 
  • Work in a team environment with other developers, architects, designers, product managers 
  • Other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, with preference for candidates with a mix of start-up and large-company experience 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience 
  • Hands-on experience driving software developments within high-growth environments at scale 
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience driving teams forward and ability to influence decisions 
  • Experience with public cloud reference architectures and services, such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS and Windows Azure. 
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Java, containerization and microservices preferred 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Superior organizational and analytical skills with hypothesis- driven problem solving and turning data into actionable insights 
  • Strong experience delivering services on Azure
