QA Engineer

Mason is looking for a QA Engineer who is passionate about QA and has a high discerning bar for quality in software. The role will ask for manual testing experience and will grow experience working on novel challenges in a startup environment. There will be plentiful opportunities to work on web services, mobile applications, and operating systems.

What you’ll work on:
- Perform manual testing, as well as oversee and manage test plans across multiple projects
- Work across software, hardware, and quality teams to design, build, and execute test plans for Mason devices
- Design end-to-end testing strategy for mobile hardware platforms
- Contribute to and help drive a quality oriented engineering culture
- Oversee quality sign-off on major product releases including bug signoff bashes
- Advocate for quality-oriented process streamlining and enhancement
What you bring to the table:
- BS in Computer Science, or a related technical field or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Passionate about customer success and new technology
- 1-3 years of professional software development and technical support experience
- Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous and dynamic work environments
- Familiarity with Android mobile devices and the Android SDK tools
- Experience with UNIX/Linux or other POSIX-like operating systems
- Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, and other QA and engineering productivity tools
Bonus points for:
- Experience working with hardware or physical devices
- Experience with Docker, Gitlab and other devops tooling
