From our company's inception building the TASER device to a full suite of hardware and software solutions, we are focused on providing police agencies with the state-of-the-art devices and services they need to successfully serve and protect us. In the next few years, we're going to eliminate the burden of paperwork in policing, so officers can increase the time they spend building relationships and serving in their communities. We’ll put video at the heart of the police record so our justice system can get to the truth faster. And we won't stop innovating until the bullet is rendered obsolete.

Your Impact

Working on this team is like being part of a well funded, early stage startup. In the beginning, you will attend “cop camp”: deep immersion via ride-alongs and sit-alongs to understand up close what law enforcement users need from their systems. You are invigorated by the opportunity to be an early member of the team, and enjoy building a solid foundation for a very visionary product. Your Day-to-Day

• As one of the first quality assurance hires on the team, you will be intimately involved in the architecture decisions that will shape this product.
• You will be able to “kick the tires” on a greenfield product, writing automated tests to allow us to continuously verify code correctness, and setting QA standards for our product line.
• You live in the details and breathe cloud services that require high availability and fast, consistent performance.

Basic Qualifications

• At least one year of software development experience OR a computer science degree
• Loves working with the latest open source technologies
• Development experience in at least one of Java, Scala, Go, C#, Ruby, Python, or similar
• Working knowledge of REST, RPC, or other client/server interaction models
• You follow the latest in software engineering and open source technologies, and can intuit the fine line between promising new practice and overhyped fad
• You love delighting end users and hunger for novel challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of software testing experience
• Experience working with SQL or NoSQL datastores
• Experience designing and delivering high-availability, scalable cloud-based systems
