Ideal candidate 

Software Quality Assurance Manager with three or more years experience as a hands-on manager or lead QA Engineer. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Quality Assurance, you will be a key member of the Highspot Engineering Team, driving the technical direction of our test architecture, process design and adoption, tool selection, hands-on contribution, hiring, and team building. This position focuses on the delivery of quality software via release testing, integration testing, functional testing, component/API testing, performance testing, load testing, security compliance testing, UI/UX testing, and mobile platform testing. This position will also work cross-functionally with Product Management, implementation teams, and Client Services to ensure that product quality extends beyond software to provide solutions that meet our customers’ business needs.

What you’ll do

  • Manage software QA strategies specific to the company’s processes, practices, and products.
  • Manage your QA team’s staffing to meet organizational needs.
  • Develop and maintain effective procedures and practices for measuring and reporting upon quality.
  • Develop and implement plans for increasing test automation coverage for all products.
  • Develop test plans and strategies for delivering on software releases.
  • Develop job descriptions and career advancement guidance for QA personnel.
  • Mentor and supervise the training and technical development of QA personnel.
  • Establish techniques and standards for continuous improvement.
  • Establish and track metrics for measuring team and individual effectiveness.
  • Coordinate testing resources to meet deadlines.
  • Attend product planning and pre-release meetings to provide input from the QA perspective.
  • Work closely with other Highspot teams on initiatives that require cross-team leadership.
  • Represent your team’s status and critical metrics to executive management.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience, including 3+ years’ experience as a QA manager or lead in an agile environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of software testing concepts, QA deliverables during the SDLC, release readiness processes, and a broad range of test methodologies and tools.
  • Expertise in developing and executing processes and tools for QA.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Web and API qualification and automation using Javascript or any other technologies
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with developers, business analysts, and a variety of cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with practical data analysis abilities.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Our HQ is located within walking distance of Pike Place Market and the Seattle Piers. With amazing 360 views of the Puget Sound and Downtown Seattle. The only downside, there are almost too many places to pick for your lunch meetings.
