A Look Inside the Role:

• The quality process engineer will be responsible for building and establishing quality control processes and procedures, and be the visible owner of managing quality issues and driving concerted efforts.

Responsibilities

• Work with product owners/managers to develop finished goods product quality inspection standard and full functional test SOPs
• Establish product failure modes and work with internal team to implement systematically and in operations
• Manage customer quality issues from inception to closure, and conduct investigations and root cause analysis 
• Develop and continue to enhance quality issue management processes including RMA process, refurbishment operation procedures and associated quality standards
• Partner with product owners, customer service, supply chain and other relevant teams to drive quality issue investigation, internal and external communication plan, product improvement plan to protect customer experience
• Collaborate with business partners and suppliers to conduct sample inspections as needed
• Work with product owners, supplier quality team to manage the ECN and PCN process and initiatives
• Partner with supplier quality team to monitor supplier’s operation and quality performance, periodically to prevent quality issue
• Participate in reviewing supplier’s quality control system, flow, components and finish product’s quality control plan 
• Support suppliers’ component qualification, manufacturing quality systems and methods, PCN control and audits
• Create scalable reports of supplier product / process quality related issues

You Already Have These Qualifications and Love What You Do:

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial, quality or other engineering fields
• Strong understanding of mechanical and consumer electrical and mechanical component and package qualification tests, requirements. Actual experience in driving product qualification and resolving qualification failures is a plus
• Hands on experience in managing quality process and issues in details from inception, information and defective product collection, testing and investigation, resolution development to closure. Must have capacity in driving closure of multiple quality issues
• Strong knowledge and regular usage of data analysis tools with hands on experience with data analysis tools 
• Knowledge of printed circuit design tools and methodologies preferred
• Experience with system level engineering preferred for IoT products and related accessories
• Able to coordinate and drive cross-functional meeting among product, engineering, customer service, supply chain teams to develop resolutions
• Must be detail-oriented, articulate and have strong communication skills. Able to summarize quality issues and provide in-depth quality report to share with stakeholders
• Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese preferred but not required
• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering area
