We are looking for a contracted or part-time Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits. There is a high probability for conversion to full-time employment. This Engineer will work with our team of talented engineers to take our Android HIPclient to the next level, auditing what exists, and then working to develop a roadmap for ensuring the app takes full advantage of Google’s SDKs and tools and maintains a great listing in the Play store.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced features for the Android platform
• Bug fixing and improving application performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Requirements

• Willing to work as a contractor or a part-time employee
• Proficiency with Java and multithreading, C, C++
• 5+ years of software development experience and Android skills development
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Working knowledge of software security

Desired Experience

• Experience with Android SDK, NDK, JNI, C++ in the context of a complex Android app
• Several Android apps published
