Job Description
What you get to do in this role:
We are looking for an Application Developer to help us automate and integrate training operations processes to allow us to scale as well as build Service Portals for key Training and Certification programs. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of ServiceNow Service Portal, including baseline and custom widgets, Angular, JavaScript, and CSS. They will also have deep technical ServiceNow experience developing on and integrating with other business applications.
- Work with a cross functional development team to build, merge, and migrate functionality to support key Training and Certification Organization (TACO) goals.
- Design effective customer-facing and partner-facing Service Portal solutions to support strategic TACO programs.
- Design solutions that maximize scalability, supportability, maintainability, and resiliency using modern ServiceNow functionality.
- Integrate internal and external systems to meet business requirements.
- Serve as a best practice advisor to the broader development team.
- Provide support for internal users and business stakeholders.
Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
- Strong ServiceNow Service Portal experience is recommended.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow to ServiceNow, as well as ServiceNow to third party products.
- Extensive experience developing solutions to satisfy business requirements on the ServiceNow Platform
- Experience working on Agile Development teams following structured development lifecycles
- Experience with software modeling languages like UML is a plus
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science (CS), or related field.
- Experience with JavaScript, Angular, CSS, writing, debugging, and improving existing code.
- Ability to make decisions independently.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- The candidate is expected to be very hands-on, getting deep into the technical details.
- Able to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
