Your Impact

Participate in the design, implementation and operation of critical evidence.com services to manage, configure and retrieve data from a variety of connected devices including tasers and body cameras. Be part of a mission driven team which values performance, high quality and reliability.

Your Day-To-Day

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and impactful feedback
• Develop microservices from initial design to final deployment
• Make feature enhancements to existing services
• Work with partners in other disciplines and other teams to drive collaborative efforts
• Participate in design and code reviews with colleagues
• Mentor junior developers

Basic Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years experience in software development, with a focus on distributed systems at larger scale
• Excellent programming skills and flexibility with a variety of frameworks
• Solid understanding of software methodologies, tools and processes
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues in the office and remote locations
• A passion for quality, reliability and high performance
• Solid communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Java, Scala or Golang programming experience. C/C++ and/or C# as well
• Familiarity with Kafka and other OSS projects in support of distributed systems
• Strong Linux experience
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes a plus
