We're a rapidly growing startup looking for a high energy DevOps Engineer with experience building scalable infrastructure and supporting continuous delivery to join our talented team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to maintain fully automated, highly available, zero downtime releases
• Design, implement and maintain infrastructure as code, used by multiple engineering teams for a high scale payment processing service
• Build, scale and support high-availability Ubuntu Linux production and development systems in a public cloud environment
• Manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and AWS automation
• Collaborate with Engineering to help them deploy systems that are highly available, secure and performant
• Ensure methods are well defined for backing up critical data. Work with Engineering teams to make sure backups are taking place
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Manage security and availability monitoring for all services
• Use monitoring tools to identify and resolve issues before they happen
• Ensure security policies and procedures are consistently implemented to secure production data
• Help other teams troubleshoot and solve failures and performance problems
• Integrate core infrastructure automation with doxo’s testing and deployment platforms
• Participate in the creation of internal and external documentation supporting the delivered infrastructure

Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience
• Experience with high scale, distributed, 24x7 systems and applications
• Experience with Linux administration
• 2+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services
• 2+ years of experience with SQL in a transactional application preferred
• Experience with building secure systems used in the handling of sensitive data
• Experience with automation and configuration management using Ansible or a similar technology
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems
• Experience with Ruby or similar programming language
• Familiarity with Containerization and Container Orchestration, preferably Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong analytical and design skills
• Capacity for learning quickly in a fast paced environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Education

• BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
