Traditional business lending institutions still rely on highly paper-based processes. They are simply not tooled to be able to underwrite or service loans to startups. Lighter Capital is able to offer non-diluting financing options to early stage businesses that banks wouldn’t touch because our internal processes are supported by high-tech custom built software. This is where you will be adding value to Lighter Capital.

As a Front End Developer on our Technology team, you will raise the bar of excellence across all our web based software interfaces. We are on a mission to freshen the UX across all of our internal software and as we go we are rebuilding everything using React. It’ll be a big job. And once you’re done with that we’ll rebuild all our customer-facing assets. And THEN we will have some amazing new innovative business focused Fintech products to implement. We want to be the standard that others try to meet.

To do that we need a very senior front end developer.

You will be working closely with an engineering team, with a UX Designer and reporting directly to the SVP of Product and Engineering.

• Our internally built software is mission-critical to the growth and success of our innovative Fintech business, and YOU are going to be the person responsible for making it look AMAZING, look unified and function consistently. 
• Our internal software supports some bizarre and complex user stories and business process - implementing a UX/UI in web technology that moves the burden of complexity from the end user into the software takes specialised engineering skills. That you have!
• We have more than a dozen different web assets (sites/apps) and they all look different. You will own the front-end of all of them and refactor to your heart’s content to make bring order and consistency.

YOU WILL BE A GOOD FIT IF…..

• You have extensive experience developing amazing web-based UI/UX. 
• You consider you’ve reached expert level at React/Javascript/HTML/CSS
• You work well in small teams and are familiar with collaboration tools such as JIRA
• You have a portfolio of your work that we can review. You should be able to reference some front-end work that you’ve worked on directly that we can log into and check out your craftiness.
• Your front-end development is more like art than engineering.
