We are currently seeking a Sr. Front End Engineer to join the Engineering team at our headquarters in Seattle, WA. 

What You Will Be Doing:

We’re looking for a great web developer with advanced skills in server-side and client-side JavaScript. Our infrastructure team provides an easy-to-use developer friendly environment for hosting and deploying applications using Kubernetes, AWS, Codeship, and GitHub. We ship isomorphic (or universal) web applications in NodeJS and server-rendered ReactJS.

We have a really healthy engineering environment and encourage cross-training, pair programming and helpful code reviews. Our developers have a ton of autonomy, input and we don’t have a long release process so your work gets on the web easily! 

Responsibilities:

As Senior Front End Developer you will be taking a feature from requirements and design through development, to QA, to production and work directly with business stakeholders in defining and refining requirements. Collaborating is no issue for you as you are used to working with design teams either through review or pair-programming, to create quality web experiences which are a pleasure to use.

Also!

• Taking responsibility for your code once in production and takes ownership of bugs, performance problems, or other issues. 
• Converting requirements and comps into small, actionable developer stories
• Aiming for simplicity and clarity in application and feature design
• Coding clearly, cleanly, and defensively
• Writing code reviews with positive, and instructive feedback
• Responding well to feedback and code reviews
• Pairing with junior developers and help with their growth and learning
• Testing their code manually and programmatically

Experience:

• 5+ years of professional development experience
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular 2 and Node)
• Interest in delivery quality and shipping things to people
• Belief that a diverse team solves problems more creatively and efficiently
• You’ll work closely with the design team so having an eye for design and typography is a plus
• Our data services are written in Python and Ruby. Experience with these is a plus but not requirement
