About the role 

​​Syndio licenses software to companies to help them find and fix pay equity issues and stay in compliance over time. As the leader of our new Platform Engineering team, composed of Site Reliability & Cloud Engineers, you will support our growing set of functions, tools, and processes that will ensure the highest level of availability and reliability to all of our applications and products.

Why this job is exciting

  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of Site Reliability Engineers and Cloud Engineers
  • Partner closely with development teams to design, build, deploy, and support new and existing products
  • Work with the entire engineering organization to ensure collaboration and coordination between product development and cloud and reliability teams
  • Capacity planning and management

About you

  • 5-10+ years of experience, with a proven track record of building and leading high performance Engineering teams
  • You have experience in enterprise technology application architecture, design, development, and maintenance, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and security
  • Experience building and managing systems on top of modern cloud services (we use GCP)
  • Familiarity with micro-services architecture and container orchestration with Kubernetes
  • Experience defining a roadmap and working across an engineering organization.
  • Experience hiring and onboarding engineers
  • You are ready to work with teams across the organization to ensure platform scalability, security, and maintainability. 
  • You excel in a collaborative environment, supported by a strong team of engineering resources.
  • You have excellent communication skills that enable you to interface with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • You bring problem-solving and critical thinking skills to our dynamic startup environment.

  • 💰 Competitive Compensation. For this role our base salary is targeted at $165k -$200k per year. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience and expertise.

Location

Our company is currently considered fully remote with the intention to go hybrid and get an office in Seattle where about 25% of our company resides. Until then, the team will often get together for coffee or lunch or after work cocktails to connect in person.
