In order to advance our mission to – “Enable Personalized Care for Every Cancer Patient,” we are seeking candidates for the following role:
Job Summary:
As a Sr. QA Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring proper application behavior. You will work closely with developers, product managers, automation engineers, and other stakeholders in an agile environment. In addition to defining, documenting, and executing the testing of web applications, you will be involved in sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, development and product deployment. The successful candidate for this position would be comfortable in an agile development environment contributing to manual test case creation and guiding the implementation and execution of automated cases. Testing will be primarily against web applications, with a mixture of web services and databases as well.
The Successful Candidate will:
• Create test cases to ensure new and existing behaviors of our software match stated requirements
• Apply creativity in searching for unexpected software behaviors
• Understand and advocate for the perspective of the user
• Collaborate with automation engineers to provide functional knowledge and ensure efficient test coverage
• Collaborate with developers to establish shared understanding of desired functionality and how development changes affect ongoing testing efforts
• Collaborate with other QA members to develop best practices for software quality assurance
• Participate in all phases of Agile Scrum methodology with the team, providing input into Analysis, design, development, estimation, planning, and retrospectives
Preferred Experience:
• 5+ years of software testing or development experience (ideally w/experience in Web platforms, responsive apps in a product)
• 3+ years experience working with a modern database like mysql / postgres
• Strong understanding of QA processes and concepts including test case preparation, and testing methodologies
• Quick learner with a passion for testing and becoming a domain expert
• Able to read and understand code. Experience writing UI Automation using Selenium would be an asset
• Experience working with Jira
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills
• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment (Scrum).
• Experience with source code management using GIT, various workflows, and popular branching models.
• BA/BS in a Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
