We are growing rapidly in the Seattle Area and looking for a Senior SDET to join our team. This role is about questioning all parts of the process to ensure the teams are producing high-quality products our customers desire. It is about asking the question: "Are we building the correct product, and are we building it correctly?". 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Design and create automated tests to build quality into the process of software development
  • Analyze systems and perform exploratory tests to identify potential quality issues that could affect our users
  • Analyze database and messaging infrastructure to ensure data integrity, durability, and security
  • Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to find the best methods for solving problems and achieving product goals
  • Manual exploratory testing when required
  • Assure the non-functional fitness of the system with performance and security testing.
  • Analyze bug reports, and guide the resolution of defects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, software engineering, or a similar field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in testing
  • Developing test strategies for Agile development methodologies
  • Collaboratively define behavior-driven acceptance criteria for features to be developed, and integrate them in a CI/CD process using automated testing tools like Cucumber.
  • Use programming skills to write code in common programming languages: Java, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Analytically examine bug reports and application logs, and prioritize necessary tests to capture defects.
  • Testing single page web applications and remote REST APIs using JSON and XML

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with business to business or business to consumer products
  • Familiarity with critical security risks to web applications 
  • Access and analyze relational and non-relational databases
  • Experience with cloud vendors like AWS, and cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
  • Some experience with performance testing and penetration testing
  • Experience with test automation tools e.g. cucumber
