About the Services Engineering Team 

The Services Engineering Team contributes to the mission of Highspot Customer Services by developing internal tools and platforms that support our customer services organization as they work with customers including helping them to continually refine practices and assess/improve customer health and value, analyzing data to generate unique business insights for customers, and providing insights to other teams in the company.

This role requires a blend of technical know-how and creative problem-solving skills, while maintaining unwavering focus on delivering great experiences to our customers. A successful candidate should have an entrepreneurial spirit with a continuous learning attitude. Most of all, the candidate should get their gratification from building tools and data platforms that enhance and optimize the way we support customers.

What You'll Do

• Support customer-facing teams in delivering value to customers
• Interface with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business challenges
• Design and develop tools, applications, code improvements, and scripts
• Serve as the technical SME on aspects of the Highspot product that require in-depth expertise

Your Background

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years of programming experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, etc.
• 2+ years of programming experience using HTML, CSS/SCSS, and React
• 2+ years of programming experience using SQL
• Experience with version control software
• Unix Shell scripting
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Strong understanding of database concepts and schema design
• Strong understanding modern web applications and REST APIs
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause in complex enterprise applications
• Demonstrated proficiency in creative problem solving
• Demonstrated ability to gather and define requirements
• Comfortable working with non-technical stakeholders to define technical requirements
• Experience with cloud software
• Experience with cloud databases is a plus
• Experience with AWS is a plus
