We're looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer with a demonstrated ability to identify high-value targets for process and automation, work with developers to operate and monitor large-scale services with complex distributed systems and data integrations, and drive success through measurement. Position Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience automating, operating, and monitoring large-scale software services that span multiple data centers
• Confidence writing code in Java, Kotlin, C# or other statically typed modern languages
• Experience operating Kubernetes clusters
• Experience with public cloud services like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related field or comparable industry experience
• Authorization to work in the United States 

Ideal Candidates

• Have a mix of startup and large software company experience
• Have experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps
• Have experience with Apache Kafka
• Are familiar with New Relic or DataDog
• Are located near Seattle, WA or Palo Alto, CA (or willingness to work remotely and within 1-hour of a major US airport in the Pacific or Mountain time zones)

You Can Expect To

• Work as a member of the Service Fundamentals team to build and maintain the tools and processes for deploying, operating, and monitoring Swiftly's services
• Utilize your deep SRE experience to work with the engineering team to define and iterate on how Swiftly defines and measures success
• Collaborate on troubleshooting live site issues with product owners
• Identify opportunities for reducing the cost of operating Swiftly's services
