Your responsibilities typically will be :

Designing and architecting solutions and services  for complex problems involving scale, flexibility, resilience and large amounts of data.

Iterate, refactor, mature systems in a highly agile and dynamic environment, evaluating open source solutions and stacks looking for leverage.

Participating in all aspects of the software development process  and coordinating across  teams on requirements, usage and dependencies.

Some things we are looking for:

BS Computer Science or related field. MS/PhD in CS preferred but not required

Experience with Java/C/C++ and programming in a multithreaded environment

3+ years of experience working with projects involving scale is a big plus

Experience with building services for SOA environments

High energy with  a passion for software quality, good engineering practices

A knack for taking good, simple architectural decisions based on a sound understanding of requirements

Experience in a startup or logistics system or  e-commerce platforms is  a definite plus

Familiarly with event/message driven system design and architecture

Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, enterprise systems, and asynchronous architectures

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven track record on delivering results, especially in the area of writing high-performance, reliable and maintainable code.

Ability to work well in a team environment and be able to effectively drive cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements.
