About the role:

Promotion Systems is responsible for building scalable and high-performance infrastructure, smart tools and end-to-end user experience for promotions across Coupang's web and mobile application. We are seeking engineering talents at all levels who are excited to build large scale distributed products that will power Coupang's core business and growth worldwide. We work in small, independent and collaborative teams to architect massively scalable and reliable distributed systems. As part of our technology team, you will help architect and implement our next generation promotions engine and related technology infrastructure and tools to wow customers with a world class e-commerce experience. You'll use a variety of cutting edge technologies such as Cassandra, AWS, Spring Boot, React, Kafka etc. to build pioneering e-commerce experience in new global markets.

Qualification

• Experience with Java / Eclipse / IntelliJ / Spring / JPA environment
• Experience of developing RESTful web services and performance tuning
• Experience in distributed systems, designing and building highly scalable enterprise systems
• Ability to work in multicultural, cross functional team
• Ability to deal with ambiguity in business and technology
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or equivalent experience

Preferred• Large system architecture design and development experience
• Ability to communicate in English
• Experience with designing, building and deploying scalable, highly available systems
• Experience with React, Cassandra or Elasticsearch
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing like AWS
