The Goods Platform (GP) team is seeking Innovative/Disciplined Software Engineers to enable EndToEnd real-time ML enabled commerce across an expanding range of categories including local businesses, travel destinations and consumer products. You will be responsible for Arch/Design of systems/services and iteratively developing/releasing critical features combined with product ownership/responsibility.  You’ll have “line of sight” between your work and the actual customer benefits in both $ and satisfaction. Requirements:

• 6 years experience in designing/implementing large, scalable distributed systems

• Build for performance; you’re the kind of engineer who can take an API that responds in 2 seconds and improve it to 20MS P99 at 50K RPS.

• Proficient in OO programming (Java, C#, C++, Python, Ruby, etc)

• Pragmatic in finding creative solutions, juggling multiple projects, rapidly shiping impactful customer-centric services/apps

• Obsessive about scalability, availability, quality, pragmatic design and elegant code

• ML Interest/Experience is a plus as our problem domains are well suited to applying ML

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience & commitment to continual learning
