The Speed Calculation team at INRIX is aggressively driving innovation, design, implementation and deployment of large scale batch and real-time streaming data pipelines. We’re working on cutting-edge technology stacks to create a high-end traffic data platform. These pipelines process billions of points of data to create predictions of traffic flow and congestion on millions of miles of roads around the world and enable data analysis of historical trips and flow for a variety of purposes.  You will have a strategic role participating in decisions that will shape INRIX's capabilities and the future technical direction of our products. 

Who we are looking for: 

• Senior Software Engineer with 5 or more years of experience in production level software development, architecture and design.
• Solid skills developing in Java and some T-SQL/Athena and Python familiarity. Experience with Scala and/or C# is a plus.
• Experience designing, implementing and deploying services that deploy, operate, scale and run reliably and efficiently. Plan to tell us about your experience with well-structured and modular software.
• Experience maintaining and extending applications and services through their lifetime.
• Ability to understand and implement complex algorithms.
• Experience with, or interest in, machine learning.
• Sensitivity to performance and scalability, working with big data in both off-line and real-time processes
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows. You will also be working with technologies such as Apache Kafka or Kinesis, Spark, and AWS technologies such as EMR, Athena, Data Pipeline, and S3.
• A collaborative team player. Our team is at the center point of many different products and offerings and we collaborate with most other engineering and data science teams in the company.
• Bachelor or advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, or related discipline
