Senior Software Engineer | Automation

Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive product and feature quality by programmatically validating the quality of delivered solutions
- Lead Automation team in new architectural and framework initiatives to keep current with all changes in the ExtraHop product
- Determine roadmap with Users and all Stakeholders to meet Business needs
- Plan and Implement Automated tests to validate ExtraHop Functionality in all areas.
- Translate Manual test cases into robust Automated tests using existing toolset.
- Triage and maintain test suites in a CI environment
- Confer with Development Team and Product Management Team to create Test Plans that cover Requirements and Implementation details including documentation
- History of architecting and implementing new frameworks and tools for validation of features in an ever-changing cloud environment.
- Track and manage feature testing tasks to completion.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years scripting and/or OOP programming experience (plus for Python)
- Experience Architecting, developing and maintaining Test Frameworks
- Someone who's excited about protecting the product and ensuring great customer experiences
Desired Skills & Experience
- UI test Automation, preferably using BDD (e.g. Python Behave driving Selenium)
- Programmatic REST API testing
- Cloud/SaaS Experience (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Virtualization platforms or containers (Docker, K8s)
- Orchestration tools (Jenkins)
- CI Pipelines (gitlab)
- Issue Tracking system (e.g. JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.)
- Linux OS
- Project management experience
- Staging and planning implementation of solutions
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking
- Knowledge of Testing methodologies
- Experience with Software Lifecycles (SDLC), preferably Agile Scrum
- Experience with open source software, especially test automation solutions
