Who we're looking for:

Rover.com is looking for a Software Engineer who will work with our Engineering and Product teams to grow and expand our daytime traveling services (DTS). The DTS teams are focused on scaling and improving our dog walking and drop-in visits services. We’ve seen huge growth so far, and believe we barely scratched the surface -- it is a great time to join us! 

From breaking down requirements and writing implementation plans, to building the features and launching them -- you will be a key player in our efforts to delight our customers. You’ll be an important part of a team that strives to provide the best experience to our dog walking and drop-in customers, their pets, and the sitters and walkers they interact with. 

If you enjoy working on customer-facing products that improve people's and pet's lives, and want to see your own efforts have an outsized impact on the business, this is the position for you!

Your Qualifications:

  • Experience building back-end applications
  • Comfortable with web development across the full stack
  • Rigor in automated testing, code quality, and engineering best practices
  • Experience with relational databases and schema design
  • Bonus: Experience with Python and Django
  • Bonus: Experience with React
