We continue to invest in and add to our feature set, app functionality, and new products for our platform. To further fuel our growth, we need a highly experienced and capable Engineering Manager to help scale the engineering organization. This role will work with the CTO to achieve the following.


To qualify for this role, you should have:

+ A Bachelor's in CS, Math, or Physics

+ Extensive engineering leadership experience leading both people and projects building customer-facing software applications

+ A track record of influencing and delivering projects with company-level impact and priority

+ Solid understanding of the best coding practices (specifically in Typescript, React, Java & Spring)


Responsibilities:

Supporting software quality and establishing, maintaining, and carrying out software quality standards. This includes:

1. Ensuring code readability, code constituency, and code conformity

2. Ensuring code test coverage

3. Driving system documentation

4. Reinforcing construction and architectural patterns

 

Supporting product development, collaborating with other Engineering Managers to bring new features to life while maintaining the system. This includes:

1. Owning prioritization and team member assignments

2. Coordinating infrastructure and technical debt burn down projects with Product Management


Supporting the team to build and maintain products that meet high-quality standards. This includes:

1. Shipping product

2 . Maintaining and participating in the code review process

3. Assisting in engineering solutions and design reviews


Leading and developing the team. This includes:

1. Setting team vision, mission, and strategy and the positive impact for customers

2. Mentoring engineers to optimally progress in their professional journey

3. Unblocking and resolve issues that prevent team members from achieving objectives

4. Defining Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), implementing an execution plan, and delivering results

5. Building a healthy and engaging team culture that provides a fun and rewarding work environment for our versatile engineers

Work hours:

Possible is fully distributed and has team members across the US and in Asia and Latin America. Our primary coordination hours are 9a to 3p Pacific Time.
