Pivotal is seeking an expert in the architecture of cloud based software products to lead the architecture, development and rollout of our cloud management software platform strategy for beams as a service solution. This role will be responsible for multiple project initiatives while working closely with a small group of scientists, engineers and business leaders in a start-up environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to think creatively and to operate within a flexible, rapid development program dedicated to expanding Pivotal’s market and mindshare. This position reports to the Director of Product Engineering.

Responsibilities:

· Apply knowledge of modern software frameworks, cloud, big data, IOT platforms to architect and  build cutting edge software products for beams as a service solutions

· Drive analysis of how business requirements can be technically implemented

· Own and manage the relationship with outside consulting relationship aiding in the architecture and development of solutions

· Function as a key contact point between business and technical teams

· Design complex solutions that require creative investigations and evaluations of alternative architectural solutions

· Apply industry best practices and design patterns to create scalable and secure solutions that have superior technical performance

· Develop system implementation plans/processes

· Drive the implementation of key software development processes related to business objectives

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related technical field

· 10 years of experience with cloud software, IOT, service oriented architectures as a Software Architect, Principal Software Developer, Solutions Architect, Senior Software Development Engineer or related title

· 2+ Years of Solution Architecture designing software

· 10+ Years of hands on professional software engineering using Java, C#, Python, node.js, Go; etc in an Agile/Scrum environment

· Strong knowledge of Cloud based infrastructure solutions, particularly AWS and their different tools

· Database design experience with RDBMS tools

· Highly scalable systems design

· Presentation skills for meetings with customers, prospective investors and executive team

Desirable Expertise:

· Advanced degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field

· Experience with Data Science projects like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, recommendation systems, NLP, Deep Learning, Neural Networks or related

· Experience with telecommunications infrastructure products or networking products. Experience with NMS, SON systems

· AWS Certification
