Job Description

We are seeking a Software Developer Engineer in Test to work within our organization to create automated testing of Xpansiv’s core platform and projects. This person will deliver results that determine the outcome of releases, working closely with product and development teams to successfully test all acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, support, and improve existing test cases within CI/CD pipeline.
• Understand complex business requirements and acceptance criteria to create meaningful tests. 
• Collaborate with product operations and engineering, who are passionate about product quality and care deeply about testing and user experience.
• Document every action so your findings turn into repeatable actions–and then into automation.
• Documentation and tracking of bugs to closure.
• Determine the appropriate balance of manual and automated tests, as well as the types of tests (functional, integration, performance, and resiliency tests).
• Create processes (manual and automated) to validate data quality and interfaces. 
• Execute and report on the full test suite in a given project/sprint.
• Put in place the tooling required to measure and ensure high-quality releases. 

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an SDET.
• 3+ years working with QA test processes, methodologies, tools, and technology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Scripting knowledge in technologies: Python, JavaScript, Gherkin, etc.
• Knowledge and experience of automation frameworks such as Cypress, Detox, and Cucumber.
• SQL experience and ability to write complex queries to validate data.
• Fluent in API tools like postman and familiar with RESTful APIs.
• Positive attitude and the ability to complete assigned objectives with minimal supervision.
• Excellent understanding of CI/CD and how the QA/automation process fits into the model.
• Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and Datadog is a plus.
