You have a solid career programming, preferably in Java. You have a portfolio of Android applications built for 4.x. that include technologies such as Notification and Social APIs. You share our passion for good UI/UX design and have a strong background in building compelling touch & gesture interfaces.

Responsibilities

• New features and maintenance of our native Android application
• Leverage your considerable experience and knowledge of best practices building mobile solutions to build an appealing and easy to use app.
• Craft beautiful and well-documented code, follow best practices, hit deadlines, exercise professionalism (in what you do and how you do it), and maintain an active interest in the overall success of what we're building as a company, beyond just the scope of your projects.
• Developing top to bottom including new features, networking, caching, testing and continuous integration.
• Implement material design when coding new features or modi and will work with the leading and bleeding edge technologies.
• 40% developing new features, 30% maintenance, and 20% will be in meetings.

Requirements

• 2-3+ years of professional software engineering experience, of which at least 1+ years were devoted to Native Android
• Demonstrate expert-level Java and Android SDK skills
• Have hands-on experience with local data storage using SQLite, Push notification
• Be comfortable with tools deploying and testing Android apps
• Have a BS in Computer Science or related discipline
• Above all, have an insatiable desire and ability to learn
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

Nice to have

• Experience working with a marketplace
• Working knowledge of e-commerce payment systems
• Working experience with Google Play Services, Google Design Library, Facebook Stetho, RecyclerViews, Otto, Retrofit, Picasso, RxJava, etc.
