Software Development Engineer, Fraud

About the Role:
The Fraud Engineering team builds systems that prevent financial crime and fraudulent charges on Remitly's platform. You will build: systems that monitor customer behavior, detect malicious activity, and fantastic user experiences that help our customers seamlessly verify their identity details while keeping bad actors out of Remitly.
We're looking for a software engineer to help us build the next generation of our fraud detection and prevention systems. You'll report to an Engineering Manager on the Fraud team and work on high impact projects across a variety of technologies with a focus on scalability and customer experience.
You Will:
- Deliver technical features end-to-end through design, development, launch, and long-term support.
- Build, own, and operate services at the core of Remitly's tech stack.
- Help build the next generation systems that process every remittance Remitly sends.
- Partner with product managers and engineers across teams to help achieve product and business goals.
You Have:
- A BS or higher in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience as a software developer.
- Experience working on full-stack products
- Expertise in one or more general purpose programming languages. We use Java, Kotlin, Go and TypeScript.
