Our DPI Team is seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer II. You will help deliver in one of the best security and technology organizations in the world, ensuring our data and systems are secured with the best standards and technology solutions.
In this position, you will manage design and implement systems that will help Product and operations to better detect and remediate the security vulnerabilities. The solutions you build will have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line and day to day operations.
What you’ll do:
Design, and develop new platform services to expand capabilities of our Security Platform
You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring an incredible, hardworking team around their goals, delivery, and career development
Own and deliver tested and optimized high-performance code for a distributed messaging, event and vulnerability management environment
Participate in resolution of production issues and lead efforts toward solutions
Contribute to vigilantly re-writing, re-factoring, and perfecting code
Work with Product management and Operations in an agile environment to accomplish team goals
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc
Build tools that utilize the data pipeline to deliver meaningful insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics
Work with partners including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs

Demonstrated ability leading teams of 5+, mentoring developers and helping to drive engineering maturity
Hires top engineering talent and keep his/her team members challenged
Problem solver and an excellent coder with deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, distributed applications, and data modeling
Passionate about quality of work, you are persistent and uncompromising
Ensure smooth functioning of the team, by following common-sense processes and long-term health of the services your team owns
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and find opportunities for improvement
Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
Solid understanding of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable large data stores
Solid project management and organizational skills
Experience supporting and working with multi-functional teams in an agile development environment
