Software Development Engineer - Risk Engineering

The Role
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the Risk Engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The Risk Engineering team builds the infrastructure that codifies Remitly risk requirements and goals and invokes automated mitigations informed by human decisions and AI models. Our goal is to build flexible systems that create the least customer friction while protecting Remitly from financial losses.
What You'll Do
- You'll have a chance to help build new technical projects as part of a growing team of experienced software engineers.
- The software you build will run on modern technology stacks, relying on AWS offerings, automated testing, monitoring, and mature deployment infrastructure.
- You will build for scale. The systems you'll work on are serving millions of requests per month from our internal users
Who You Are
- You have a BS degree in Computer Science or 1+ years of equivalent professional experience.
- You have experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or Python.
- You've done some work in the industry and have experience in the field of software engineering (i.e. working with data structures, algorithms, software design).
