Role:
Card Kingdom's Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) are responsible for the quality and integrity of Card Kingdom's software products, used by both employees and customers. Duties include the review and analysis of feature specifications, the creation and maintenance of automated test suites, and close coordination with the QA Analyst team. SDETs are an integral part of the product lifecycle, from creating automation suites for new features, to maintaining release suites to minimize bug regressions. As an SDET III, you are an expert in the field of test automation, using your expertise to advocate for best practices, train junior SDETs, and implement test frameworks from the ground up. Your experience and leadership will shape the foundation of Card Kingdom's test automation team.
Responsibilities:

  • Implement test automation of architectural framework and integrated components.
  • Demonstrate leadership in automation strategy and execution.
  • Own the test automation of complex projects or features for the full project lifecycle.
  • Write comprehensive testing suites for large scale, complex systems.
  • Execute on complex test plans and collaborate with QA and development team for feedback.
  • Write automated test coverage for complex security and performance problem areas.
  • Work closely with the Development team and QA Analysts to obtain additional testing information and drive collaboration on testing strategies.
  • Coordinate collaboration with QA team members on testing, planning, and project delivery.
  • Provide training to new SDETs and other QA Analysts on complex topics and processes.
  • Communicate and coordinate directly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead team meetings in absence of QA Manager.
  • Work with QA Manager to enhance team processes and procedures.
  • Create opportunities for self-improvement outside of normal testing scope.
  • Guide and define CI/CD pipeline design and execution.
  • Guide automation test strategy at all levels of application architecture.
  • Choose appropriate technologies for test automation at all levels of target architecture.


Qualifications:

  • Mastery of multiple programming languages, PHP preferred
  • Mastery of multiple test automation tools and frameworks, including data-driven testing
  • In-depth knowledge of test automation techniques and best practices
  • Advanced SQL knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of common security vulnerabilities
  • Expert knowledge of CI/CD workflow
  • Experience implementing test automation suites from the ground up
  • Experience training junior SDETs
  • 4-6 years of experience as an SDET in similar roles
