Role Summary

Xealth created the cloud-based clearing-house for digital health content. On the road ahead, we will create responsive web applications, develop custom recommendation engines, and create analytics solutions to help clinicians and Health Systems throughout the US. Our product runs on AWS, integrating tightly with 3rd party EMR and practice management systems such as Cerner and Epic. We’re a highly skilled, passionate team, disciplined in our agile approach, with a track record of success –– and we are proud to be applying our efforts to improve healthcare options for everyone. 

We're looking to grow our QA team, and are looking for an experienced tester to join us. You will work closely with developers to find bugs early and regularly participate in the maintenance of improvement of Xealth's test automation platform. Core responsibilities:

  • Provide Test Automation coverage for web and mobile applications, APIs, data pipelines, security, and more 
  • Building in-house test automation frameworks
  • Write design documentation, test plans and cases for automated testing
  • Execute tests and report bugs both during the development phase and as part of routine regression/exploratory testing
  • Collaborate with developers and use your debugging chops to find bugs early in the development cycle
  • Work with the Product and Engineering teams to define and document acceptance criteria
  • Participate in the maintenance and improvement of our test automation platform
  • Make a real, positive difference in other people's lives through your work

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Thorough understanding of quality and testing principles, techniques, and protocols
  • Experience building test frameworks from the ground up
  • Working knowledge of WebDriver IO, Docker, and JavaScript
  • Hands-on experience with testing browser-based web applications and RESTful APIs
  • Experience with the test automation tools (Selenium, Zombie, Python, or other headless browser test frameworks) and JIRA, or similar solutions
  • Problem-solving skills and proven ability to work under pressure
  • Experience in agile, including participation in scrum and sprint planning meetings for scope and estimation purposes

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Node.js or React.js
  • Excellent scripting ability, and experience with the development of test automation scripts in JavaScript, Python, or similar
  • Experience with 3rd party EMR systems like Epic and Cerner is a big plus!
  • An interest in the healthcare industry
  • Experience with AWS toolset
  • A desire to learn and expand your abilities in a small, cross-functional team
