We are looking for a motivated and passionate Software Development Engineer.  participate in the whole product development life cycle with us, from concept through deployment and operations.

What you’ll do:

• Program in C++ in a Linux environment.
• Design, build, test, and improve our MESA products.  Own the development, testing, and debugging of code modules and libraries.
• Help drive and support testing efforts across teams and projects.
• Work alongside radar, signal processing, and other software engineers to implement platform functionality to meet specific system control and signal processing needs.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience designing and building Linux-based software applications in C++
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Desire and ability to learn quickly and be part of a world-class team
• Knowledge of software development life cycle, and good coding practices
• Excellent problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Software testing.  Test automation and infrastructure a plus 
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, related field, or equivalent

Nice to have extras:

• Experience building tailored Linux OS’s (we use Yocto and Bitbake) and administering a Linux environment
• Software architecture expertise - describing and implementing new software designs using design patterns and off-the-shelf components
• Embedded systems programing and interfacing embedded systems to host computers and peripherals; using common communications protocols (UART, SPI, QSPI, I2C, TCPIP)

• Hardware debugging and code testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters
• Understanding of sampling theory, digital filtering, and ADC signal digitization is a plus.

• Linux, Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Docker, PyPi.

• GCC, CMake, Eclipse, Python, pip, virtualenv, Visual Studio Code.
