About the Position

Qumulo is well known for its focus on making customers successful. In this role, you work in close partnership with our world class Customer Success team to understand how customers are using the Qumulo products and work through any issues customers are seeing to make them successful. Each day presents a new challenge and the satisfaction of knowing that your work directly impacts customers in a positive way.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate performance and functional issues seen by customers in their production environment, contribute to root cause analysis of issues
  • Implement software fixes with appropriate unit and integration tests
  • Define and implement improvements to tools, product features, and team processes that increase quality and speed of issue resolution for the customer success team
  • Collaborate with customer support team and product development teams to define product behavior
  • Respond to critical customer issues through an on-call rotation 

Qualifications

  • Experience programming in a compiled language like C/C++, Rust, Java, or Go
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn a new code base and become expert with how a complex system functions
  • Experience with data center troubleshooting, debugging using logs and tool like GDB, and doing performance analysis
  • Beneficial to have Linux, Windows and or network administration experience
  • 2 to 6+ years of demonstrated ability in a software development role. We are hiring at multiple levels of seniority; the appropriate level is determined through the hiring process.
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
