Software Engineer II, Passbook
At Remitly, we help immigrant communities around the world send over $10 billion a year to their loved ones. We want to transform the lives of immigrants and their families by providing the most trusted financial service products on the planet.
Passbook is a banking experience designed for immigrants. It's easy to open an account with documents immigrants already have, built for travel back home and abroad, has no monthly fees, and makes remittances faster and cheaper than ever. Our mission is to create the most loved and trusted financial partner to immigrants globally. And we're just getting started.
The goal of the Fraud, Identity and Risk team is to distinguish good customers from bad actors, so we can provide a smooth experience for the former and put friction in front of the latter. You will help achieve this goal by building tools that help understand customer and fraudster behavior, and ship software that balances superb customer experience with acceptable risk exposure. You make people feel valued and are comfortable working across cultures and socio-economic classes. You can identify unspoken customer needs.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager for Passbook, you will work in Java and Go codebases to bring exciting new features to our customers, while mentoring others, and making sure the team has the right tools to succeed.
