The Role

Knock is looking for a passionate, reliable Full Stack Engineer with a bit of a lean towards the front end! In this role you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by helping us develop applications and enhancements to our multi family, front office suite. 

The Team

The Engineering and Product teams consist of 40 talented and passionate team members, working to make Knock the premier software product in the Multifamily real estate industry. The Full Stack Engineer will provide technical leadership for a critical project, and will report to the Director of Software Architecture. Here is insight into what our tech stack looks like across all our teams. Please note that each team has different areas of focus. Those specific to this role will be called out in the qualifications section:

Languages: JavaScript/Typescript, Python

Cloud Platforms: AWS, Twilio, Mailgun, Google Cloud Platform

AWS Tools: Lambda, CloudFront, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, ECS, EC2, RDS, API Gateway

Monitoring: New Relic APM, New Relic Insights, CloudWatch

The Company

We started Knock to solve problems we faced ourselves as consumers: as part of the process for renting an apartment hasn't evolved at the same pace of technology. We’ve developed an industry-defining SaaS platform, an intelligent front office platform providing the productivity and business intelligence tools needed to maximize occupancy, rent growth, and customer satisfaction at every community. Day - to - Day:

• Drive the development of new applications and enhancements of our existing multi family front office suite
• Lead system design and development discussions
• Work with other leads and cross functional teams to collaborate on partnerships in order to achieve company goals
• Contribute to a culture of technical excellence across the engineering organization

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
• Experience leading a team and shipping products on a predictable schedule
• JavaScript, React, Node JS, SQL databases, Python, CSS, SCSS
• Experience consuming 3rd party API’s
• Experience using testing frameworks, such as Jest
• Experience working with a cloud stack such as AWS or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail, performance and quality
• Experience in an agile environment
