About the Role:

The Passbook team is a startup within Remitly. We are building a digital bank for immigrants and their families and was named one of Time's 100 best inventions of 2020. The team is intensely customer-focused and comprises startup veterans. It's all the best parts of an early stage startup accelerated by the assets and competitive advantage of Remitly. By joining at such an early stage, you will have a large impact on the cultural and technical foundation of Passbook.

Within Passbook, the Customer Success team is building a technology platform that supports Passbook as it scales. Our team builds and integrates internal tools and automated services that the customer success associates use. By doing so, we provide our customers with a word class level of customer service and grow them into loyal customers. As a Software Development Engineer, you will report to the Passbook Customer Success Tech Lead.

You Will:

  • Own the E2E delivery of technical projects within the team including requirements gathering all the way to launching and beyond.
  • Work cross-functionally with peers, developers, product owners, customer support and other departments to develop features that alleviate customer pain and improve customer experience.
  • Work in a modern tech stack and external systems like Salesforce, AWS and Retool.
  • Build banking and support api's and automation services.
  • Provide technical support for customer escalations and on-call issues.
  • Help develop the team by mentoring junior developers, improving team processes, and growing our cs engineering team.

You Have:

  • A BS or higher in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience shipping software, and all the successes and hard-earned lessons that came with it.
  • Experience working on full-stack products.
  • Expertise in one or more general purpose programming languages. We use Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Kotlin, Scala and Go.
  • Passion for internal/backend tools, automation and processes.
  • Obsessive and unwavering commitment to making sure our customers and agents are successful.
  • Commitment to a collaborative environment infused with integrity and passion.
