About the Position
We’re looking to hire collaborative, adaptable, ever-learning engineers with a diverse set of backgrounds and a passion for technology. You will be part of the team responsible for adapting Qumulo’s file storage to work with new architectures and writing software to control our commodity hardware components. This software abstraction allows Qumulo’s software to run in many different environments. Our goals include creating more flexibility for our customers to choose the platforms that work for them and learning to rapidly adopt and support cutting edge server technology.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members and area leads on architecture and design of new/updated platform features
- Contribute to development of features and testing using Python, with some C and Rust
- Participate in team SDLC processes like stand-ups/reviews/pair programming/etc. and improve them as appropriate
Qualifications
- Facility with scripting languages such as Python and compiled languages such as C or Rust
- 3+ years experience in a software development role. We are hiring at multiple levels of seniority; the appropriate level is determined through the hiring process.
- Experience working well in collaborative environments
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
