About the Team

We are a collection of deeply passionate engineers who are riding the cutting edge of cloud computing and web scalability. We organize and sort terabytes of data and develop solutions used by millions of users every single day. We will design tools that make sophisticated research simple. The environment we use is primarily Java, Scala, C++, Go, JavaScript, Angular.JS, D3/C3, Node.js, MySQL NoSQL (MongoDB), AWS, Python, PHP, and Docker. You will find plenty of opportunities to impact our full-stack product; from Web & mobile UI to data visualization & analysis to microservices APIs to data storage & processing.

Responsibilities

• You will design and craft test plans and cases for our full stack web application
• You are an excellent Ad-hoc tester and have a strong ability to find bugs worth fixing
• You convert manual tests cases into automated cases in an existing framework using Python or JavaScript
• You investigate test failures and customer reports using your technical understanding of the product and tools (such as logs) to narrow down repro issues steps and isolate the root problem
• You contribute to test frameworks, test tools, and automation for complex, distributed SaaS systems
• You drive quality processes like bug triage, releases decisions, and feature completion criteria

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, STEM field or CS Minor
• 2+ years of professional coding experience with any programming language (Prefer experience in Perl/Python/JavaScript)
• 2+ years of professional experience as part of a test team
• 1+ years of experience contributing to test automation and frameworks
• Familiar with front-end technologies, REST web services and/or Databases
• Experience applying different software testing techniques, such as equivalence class partitioning, boundary value testing, pairwise testing, etc
