Job Description

Position Summary

Our teams are building the future that deliver advanced BIG-IP application delivery and security services to customers around the world. We are passionate about using Agile development and DevOps principles to build a modern, automation ready system that scales to meet and exceed customer expectations. This Senior Software Engineer role is one of the key role to help ship our next generation BIG-IP Software. You will be part of our globally distributed team which focus on DevOps automation tool chain with very clear focus on customer delivery.Your key areas of focus will be end to end automation using CI/CD pipeline, help define release strategy, build and maintain test harnesses, build reporting workflow for integration and quality efforts etc..

As a member on one of our agile teams, you will participate project planning, sprint scheduling and demo your progress on a regular basis to the larger organization. Primary Responsibilities

  • Understand SDLC, Automation tools and framework, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design, develop and implement software integrations based on requirements
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with development team to streamline code deployment
  • Build Automation infrastructure in Python/Java for high-end network appliances and virtual products
  • Build Harnesses for Integration pipelines & Production validation testing
  • Keep abreast of new technologies, potential business partners
  • Serve as source of technical expertise to an agile team and is a mentor for junior staff members
  • Recommend and maintain technical design methodologies, troubleshooting, processes, and standards
  • Proactively identifying and resolving key technical issues

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with CI/CD and project management tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Bugzilla, etc.)
  • Require hands on programming skills on developing automation modules on Python/Ruby/Bash/Java/JS
  • Experience with configuration management and deployment automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
  • Experience in System Testing and Building Automation Tools
  • Experience with web technologies (REST, JSON etc.)
  • Experience with container technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
  • Experience with both private and public cloud infrastructure and interfacing programmatically through APIs
  • Must be self-directed, detail-oriented and have excellent written & verbal communication skills

 

Qualifications

  • 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 5 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of OSI Layer-1 to 7 including LAN switches, routers, general TCP/IP and associated protocols preferred
  • Excellent organizational agility and interpersonal skills throughout the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
