In this role, you will be responsible for building and leading a team of engineers in designing, developing, and supporting the next generation of our cloud services. This role will require you to interface with various teams(technical and business), understand their business needs, and deliver highly reliable and easy to use solutions that enhance business efficiency. The successful candidate will have an established background in designing scalable systems and developing mission-critical software solutions with strong technical ability, excellent project management and communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute against project plans and delivery commitments.
- Manage the team in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Drive projects, work across organizational boundaries and exercise appropriate influence to ensure commitment to customers and product quality
- Drive planning and architecture discussions
- Prioritize issues and bring them to resolution
- Manage customer escalations
- Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 10+yrs of experience
- 5+ years’ experience managing software development teams delivering high-quality enterprise-ready software
- Technically competent to lead a team of world-class software engineers and be able to deliver the right product with a scalable engineering design.
- A passion for people management and mentorship; hiring and developing technical leaders
- Able to balance technical leadership with sound business judgment.
- Think strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong and proven ability to hire top talent and build out winning teams
- Experience building scalable web services, and distributed applications
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects.
Desirable skills
- Experience in delivering projects using ML and AI technologies
- Experience with cloud platforms like Amazon, Azure and/or Google Cloud
- Experience leading teams that developed web applications with modern UI frameworks like React, Angular, Ember, Web Components.
- Exposure to DevOps culture
